True Blood, 4.02 - You Smell Like Dinner
Tara and Sookie are back together to work on a real-estate issue. Bill and Eric discuss a local coven that could be a problem for the vampires. Jason is the recipient of some unconventional medical help. Sam discovers some things about Luna's demons. Jessica's cravings for human blood become stronger as she struggles to control them.

All right, much improved from the last episode, I say. The initial scene with Timbo and Jason was creepy and funny as hell.
Sookie and Eric was okay. I'm kind of hoping she does become his, just to piss Bill off. Yeah, I'm still somewhat mad at him.
SPEAKING OF WHICH: Why the f*** did they decide to kill off Sophie?! She was, by far, my favorite guest star in the series. A horrid move on their part, IMO. I can't see him as king of anything. Sheriff, sure. But not king. The flashback scene with Bill in England was...ehh. It was pretty boring. They were showing how Nan - have I mentioned how I'm in love with Nan? Well, I am - and Bill first met, yeah, but I didn't care for it that much.
The Tara and Sookie reunion. The whole fairies chasing her killed the moment. What was the point of that? But yeah, here's hoping they'll, you know, actually stay friends. I like their friendship. And Tara/Lafayette/Jesus is a great trio. I love them together. Lafayette and Tara have a great comical dynamic going on there. And Jesus's reaction to Marnie's resurrection proposal was funny as well.
Pam, as usual, is hysterical. Loved to see scenes with her and Sookie more. "He pulls good string."
Did anyone else feel a twinge of nostalgia when Holly started the chant to banish Eric? It reminded me of a good ol' vanquishing spell. No? Just me? Okay. Nontheless, it made me smile. The way Fiona Shaw recited the spell was so eerie and badass at the same time. Prolly just me.
Arlene screaming at the baby and calling it rotten to the core was also a plus for me. And Terry's one liner just...it was cheesy, but in a good kind of way.
Did anyone else buy Tommy's "I want us to be brothers" bull? Even if he did mean it, how long is that REALLY going to last considering who Tommy is and considering who Sam is?
Speaking of Sam, the meeting with the Shifter circle was my highlight of the episode. The whole confession of the craziest shift you've ever done felt real and something a close-knit group of friends would do. But I especially loved Luna's short monologue on her being able to shift into any human, including her dead mother. Loved, loved, loved it. I'm really looking forward to seeing that.
Brandon, you still bored with Hoyt and Jessica? The scene outside of Fangtasia came out of something out of some 80's movie. Nontheless, it was very romantic. I saw the scene sometime ago while watching the Paley Center Convention thing on Youtube. And there is certainly some strain starting in between them. Especially when he calls Jessica's blood s***. I'm just mad she actually fed on someone else. I know she's a vamp, but still.
The whole Hotshot story was okay. I'm just waiting for him to finally get out of there and start life as a werepather.
A major step forward from the last episode. I was satisfied.
