I honestly thought this was one of the best episodes this season. There were so many twists and turns. How Tara attempted to control Franklin was genius, only when she got a proposal did she realise that it was a bad idea. Now, I'm gonna say that she'll accept out of fear and then wait for someone to save her, because that's how she rolls. Alcide/Whorebag - I really don't give a sh*t about the Alcide/Girl(can't remember her name)/Coot relationship. Although I am interested in how all the werewolves are under the King's command and even the Packmaster fears him. And I loved (yes, loved) the end part with Eric. I can see that it will play a big part in Eric's arc. I really want to see him go all nutty and start attacking the kingdom. And it's interesting how the King may have lived during Viking times (was that mentioned?). The cloaked-King(?) scene was awesome. I love cloaked figures so seeing that in slow motion was a real treat for me. Sookie's power! I was wondering when it'd pop up again. I'm not sure how I feel about the effects though. Sure they're nice to look at but they don't seem to look like they pack much of a punch, even if it's obvious that they do. This may just be me forgetting things but, why does the King want Sookie and Bill?

Yep, another great episode. Loved the Crystal/Jason stuff. Thought she'd turn before the end of the episode though. And Jason's getting responsible and serious now, good on him! (As long as he can keep me laughing at his idiot IQ, I don't mind.) Jesus/Lafayette - Yeah, okay, weird. It just doesn't feel as real as any of the other relationships out there. Franklin/Tara - Franklin's such a psychopath. I'm loving him. And Tara! Girl's finally got her brains back and manipulating him. Their scenes were quite hilarious. I loved the part with the texting ha! Or was that in the previous episode? Vampire bride, wow, can't wait to see that. Talbot - He's just comic relief now really. It's hilarious how he's infatuated with Eric and all. Something tells me that if Pam isn't saved (or, as revenge), Eric will have something done to him, and not the way Talbot wants it. Eric - Okay, amazing backstory. Gore really deepens a character, eh? The King in a cloak was cheesy, I'm sorry. Everyone knew who it was, they should have edited/sequenced it better. But this shows us how fucking evil he really is. And oh, also, I wonder if they'll make it so that the King was Godric's maker? Hmm... that would be an interesting take on things, seeing as Eric goes out to get revenge on the King, Godric finds him, turns him, then Eric and Godric have this familial/fraternal bond and trust, only to have Godric be loyal to the one who killed Eric's family. That will certainly have him change the way he looks at things. Merlotte/Mickens - Intriguing storyline. Liking Tommy's character but that strain of a relationship he has with Joe Lee, something tells me it the abuse he's facing isn't only physical and verbal. And could Joe Lee be more than human? Makes you think... Hmm. Jessica - Okay, potential love triangle that Ausiello teased was this one! I can see it working, but really, the relationship she had with Hoyt in conjunction with being new to the whole vamp thing was what made her so loveable last season. (Of course, Deborah Ann Woll's a completely different story). So let's hope Alan Ball can keep the essence of that likeable Jessica if she faces a relationship shift. The King - Dennis O' Hare really makes this character what he is. He's definitely one of my favorite vampires. The way he cackles at the end (I think it was cackling) was pure awesome (where evil is concerned), and he really is quite the best villain ever! Sookie. I don't remember much about her in this episode other than her telepathy and her power at the end. I don't know what it exactly is, but it seems like some sort of telekinesis... or repulsive force. Charlaine Harris said that Sookie's telepathy has nothing to do with her fairy lineage. However, Earl Stackhouse, if I am not mistaken, was her grandfather. In the books, her grandfather was Niall, a fairy, was he not? Or something like that. Fintan. I dunno.
Russell says that the ones circled (namely Sookie and Earl) were telepaths. If Earl wasn't her biological grandfather, how was this thing passed down?

Spoilers for 3x06 as well as 3x05. You have been warned.Jesus/Lafayette - Yeah, okay, weird. It just doesn't feel as real as any of the other relationships out there. It was cringe-worthy. It seemed so forced and ridiculous. There was none of the signature True-Blood-mystery added to it, and it seemed really out of place. And, Jesus is too Jesus-y. It may be that I'm really corrupt, but when he ran off because he found out Lafayette was a Drug dealer, I just thought It's only V. God. He's brilliant! "Watch how fast I can type motherfucker. Wait, I'll delete it so you can watch again." I want that quote on a T-shirt. I really hope he isn't dead. Vampires can only die if stabbed through the heart right? All these different Vampire shows, I can barely keep track. The King in a cloak was cheesy, I'm sorry. Everyone knew who it was, they should have edited/sequenced it better. But this shows us how fucking evil he really is. No! That was the best bit. It could've been one of the King's ancestors or something. Plus Eric couldn't know that was the King, so it was a good call having the King in a cloak. It also shows how the King is willing to kill a whole bunch of people to get a Crown. Do you think he took it so that it could become the Vampire King's crown, instead of the Viking's one?

Do you think he took it so that it could become the Vampire King's crown, instead of the Viking's one? Not really. Talbot mentions that he has "hundreds of them". So although they might be random to Talbot, and perhaps reminders of royals slain to Russell, to Eric (and the other survivors, if any), its value is clearly more sentimental than anything else. And silver. Silver and wood. That's why your beloved Pam was so scared of the Magistrar's stick. (That sounds dirty, eh.) They require blood to heal from severe wounds inflicted by silver, as shown in the Pilot.
