Apparently, Eric Kripke will be helping out a company in Japan to create a SPN anime cartoon. It's supposed to basically be a re-done version os Seasons 1 and 2, with some flashback scenes about Sam and Dean's childhoods exclusive to this series.

What does everyone think? Seasons 1 and 2 were pretty fantastic, so let's hope they don't fcuk it up. This could go one of two ways. It could either be really good, and bring in a whole new fan base to watch the show for the final season this fall, or it could be disastrous and make me wanna murder innocent people. Let's hope for the former, shall we?

I really hold little to no excitement for this. Hence, the very late post. I wouldn't mind learning more about in the between moments and some other backstories - maybe we can finally see why Bobby had a shotgun to John's chest - but apart from that, no YIPEES and HOORAYS out of me. I'm not really big on the anime, anyhow.

If they decided to make a prequel, I would be pretty excited. But a remake? No thanks.
I do, however, like how they've drawn Dean. They've really captured his character. Sam doesn't look nearly as good. Actually he looks a bit like a teenager.

Oh, and is season 6 the final season?

I don't know about season 6 being the final season. I've heard, though unconfirmed, that the boys said at Comic-Con that they are now contracted through season 7, but again, this isn't confirmed.

If ratings keep up, the CW won't allow it to go out gracefully. They're cruel that way.
In fact, I kinda wish it ended last season. With Sam dead. And no faeries. Or Leprachauns. Or Twilight. Maybe in a few years I'll come to appreciate these light episodes, who knows?

That trailer was epic. I have no idea what was said, and I could only recognize a few scenes, but it was pretty cool! It's unreal seeing the boys in anime form.
I'll watch the first episodes, and then decide whether to stay with the series. I've never actually liked an anime series before, so it'll be new for me. One thing I do actually want to see are the flashbacks! I mean, I know about the comic (Supernatural: Origins and all the other prequels) but I've never really cared enough to download/buy them. Anyone know if they're worth it? I think I've read the first 3.

I literally have not been watching SPN at all this season. I saw the first episode, then Soccer and Drama practice got in the way. I haven't been watching any shows TBH.
