Exile on Main St.Sam is mysteriously released from Hell and seeks out his brother, who is trying to have a normal life. Together the brothers must join forces with their maternal grandfather, Samuel, who's also been resurrected, and begin the fight anew, starting with a couple of Djinn. Promo photos to be added soon. So what'd everyone think? Personally, I thought it was a pretty good opening of a new storyline. The Devil's trapped again, but not everything that was released from hell. Creatures that hunters have never even seen before are out roaming around, the most powerful of which look like normal humans. At first I was a little weary before I watched the episode. I thought that Dean was going to get all soft and just act like everything was peachy-keen. Glad to know I was wrong. Dean knows whats out there, and was raised to fight it all to save others, and he can't just let that go. I especially liked that he slept with the Holy Water and gun under his bed. Overall, great beginning to what may be a pretty decent season. Cons: The Djinn were the offspring of the one that the Winchesters defeated years ago, right? Where have they been all this time? Stuck in hell? Or did they just find the Winchesters now? Hmm. Also, Dean seemed shockingly cavalier that His brother and Grandfather were back from the dead. I mean, hello? I was going to say that Sam really didn't seem to weirded out by it, but then I remembered that he had been out for about a year. Comments away!

Oh my God, who in the hell wrote this episode? (Looking this up right now.) NO F**KING WAY. KRIPKE AND GAMBLE? And THIS is what we got? I wasn't in love with this, at all. I may have to even rewatch it. I'm not loving any of these third-cousins just yet (I'm looking forward to them being picked off one-by-one), but it doesn't even feel like the show is returning to its roots. Season One was great. Season Six is a no so far, expectedly. I went into this episode not expecting much, pretty spoiler-free, and I'm still unimpressed. I could've done without the Azazel Hallucination and I wish the second hallucination was actually real. That would've been a perfect, distraught circle. Dean, who was always like Mary, losing Ben to demon-blood and Lisa to the fire would've been waaay better than this.
Okay, there's obviously a conspiracy of some sort going on with the Campbells, fine. I do like the idea of a Winchester vs. Campbell showdown in the future of the season - I really wanna see Bobby unload a shotgun into Samuel, but my saving grace for this episode was the enigmatic coldness of Sam. Those are answers I'm sticking around for.
I really don't wanna say anymore right now. I'd watch the second episode tonight, but I prefer Dollhouse. I'll comment later in the week for Ep. 2.
(Okay, I'm not done yet apparently.)
YEAH, no shyt! WTF was that? This reunion was an insult to "Lazarus Rising". Well, Sam was appropriate because he's obviously a bit cold-hearted right now, but it didn't even feel like they were separated for a year, more like Sam went away for a vacation one weekend.
Just...no.
