Hell to the Yes: Legend of the Seeker Ain't Dead Yet!Great news, Legend of the Seeker fans! You may have heard rumors that your show had been canceled, but we just talked with an inside source close to the show, and well, the rumors are just not true[...]
So what do you guys have to say, huh? I sure have my fingers crossed!

I love this show so much that it really breaks my heart that it was cancelled. I look online every day to see if there is news that it will come back on. There's so much potential for it.

Yeah, I've been meaning to create a "Save Our Seeker" thread, about the campain, but I just keep getting stuff on my plate.

I love this show. Like really love it. It's everything that I love about television!
I am really sad that it's cancelled, but I still don't get how the cancellation isn't exactly final yet? Why? I've seen all of that Save Our Seeker stuff, and I know that Terry Goodkind (?) is also a part of it. But I don't see how that'll save the show.

I've just not been of a heart to do anything about it. I've planned a fanfiction season 3 when season 2 ended, even finished the first episode already, but as shown with C-Net's S9, I can't keep up with life and editing, even less writing. Not alone anyway. So yeah. Official. Depressing thought, even though the show never really reached the books' awesomeness, it was still a damn good show, you know, if you viewed it as a show alone. Yeah.

Yeah, I've never read the books, and have only seen season 1 and part of season 2, but now that it's ending I really want to get the books. It's such a magical world, and well, I'm going to miss it.
Why write a fanfiction, isn't the plot the same as the book's?

Why write a fanfiction, isn't the plot the same as the book's? Sure... 2% of it. Maybe. Seriously, 'cept for the characters' names and some locations' and organizations' names, the show's as good as a standalone. Season 1 mostly resembled the plot of Book 1 (Wizard's First Rule) but with many cannon inaccuracy, and season 2 goes totally crazy book-relating-wise -- there are parts of all remaining books in that season, which can be quite spoilerish for the books' plots, actually. So yeah, my fanfiction's aim was to keep going with the show's particularness while getting back to the roots that are the books -- including characters who have been thrown to the garbage, reinstoring real plots, etc.

Yeah, so I noticed. The wizard's rules seem to be just thrown at Richard in the T.V series, whereas (although I haven't yet read the books) in the books, one is revealed in every book.
So any news on this? I keep seeing all of the SaveOurSeeker campaigns, but no network seems to be responding.

Actually i read the first couple of books before i even got into watching the show (sadly after it was cancelled and already on DVD) and the plot is not the same hehe. There are a lot of chances even Goodkind admits to that, i believe he even wrote some of the episodes himself.
